Calculated Moon-sign reading

Courage, gains and success over rivals; take care over obstacles, delays and fatigue

OverallD Udyog scoring model (v1.0)

In October the Sun is in your 2nd house (Kanya) until 17 Oct, then moves into your 3rd house (Tula): first strain on money and sharper words, then courage, gains and success over rivals. Jupiter in your 12th house until 31 Oct brings expenses and distant travel, then in your 1st house from 31 Oct brings restlessness, change and extra outlay, while Saturn (retrograde) in your 8th house brings obstacles, delays and fatigue. Venus turns retrograde in your 3rd house on 3 Oct; matters of that house slow down and old issues may return. Jupiter enters Simha — your 1st house — on 31 Oct, bringing restlessness, change and extra outlay. Shani Dhaiya (Saturn in your 8th house) asks for patience with delays; avoid unnecessary risks. On balance this month asks for patience; the calmer you move, the smoother it goes.

Written automatically from the calculated planetary positions of this period and the classical transit rules — the same inputs always give the same reading.

Areas of life

ਆਮ

Overall, Saturn (retrograde) in your 8th house calls for patience — traditionally, obstacles, delays and fatigue. Meanwhile, Jupiter in your 12th house until 31 Oct calls for patience — traditionally, expenses and distant travel. Keep commitments modest, avoid confrontations and give important decisions a second look.

ਕਰੀਅਰ

At work, Saturn (significator of work, retrograde) in your 8th house makes work more demanding — traditionally, obstacles, delays and fatigue. Meanwhile, Mercury in your 3rd house (effort and short journeys) makes work more demanding — traditionally, misunderstandings with friends and siblings. Keep a low profile with seniors, document your work and avoid changing jobs in haste.

With money, Jupiter (significator of wealth) in your 12th house (expenses and distant places) until 31 Oct puts pressure on money matters — traditionally, expenses and distant travel. From 31 Oct, Jupiter moves into your 1st house (Simha): restlessness, change and extra outlay. Postpone large purchases and speculation, and keep an emergency margin.

ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ

In love and marriage, Jupiter in your 12th house (expenses and distant places) until 31 Oct asks for patience in relationships — traditionally, expenses and distant travel. From 31 Oct, Jupiter moves into your 1st house (Simha): restlessness, change and extra outlay. Choose patience over point-scoring; small kindnesses repair a lot.

Weighted average = sum of contributions -9.436 ÷ sum of weights 12.631 = -0.747. Rating = round(3 + 2.8 × (-0.747 − (-0.25))) = round(1.608), kept between 1 and 5 = 2.
A contribution is line score × period weight × share of the period × karaka weight × (1 + house bonus); the baseline -0.25 is the average score of the classical table, so a period of ordinary transits rates about 3.

Lucky colour, number and day C

Traditional, fixed for your sign

Colour: copper red / saffron
Number: 1
Day: Sunday

Traditional, fixed for Simha: these come from the sign's lord and are the same every day, week, month and year — they do not depend on the transits of this period.

Traditional associations of Simha's lord, the Sun: its colour (BPHS ch. 3) and its weekday; the number follows popular numerology.

Remedy (upasana)

For Saturn's Dhaiya (Kantaka Shani).

On Saturdays chant the mantra below or the Hanuman Chalisa, light a sesame-oil lamp and help elders, workers or anyone in need.

Mantra ॐ शनैश्चराय नमः (Om Śanaiścarāya Namaḥ)

Read: Om Sham Shanaishcharaya Namah

Graha-shanti tradition: Yajnavalkya Smriti, Acharadhyaya (Graha-shanti prakarana) and the remedial chapters of BPHS; nama-mantras and weekday / deity associations as commonly practised

How this reading is made

A traditional Moon-sign (Chandra rashi) reading for everyone whose Moon is in Simha, not a reading of your personal birth chart. Houses are counted from Simha (house 1) using sidereal positions (lahiri_drik_compat ayanamsa) calculated for the selected place; times are in Asia/Kolkata. Transit results follow Phaladeepika ch. 26 with Vedha; ratings weigh each graha by its significations, the houses of each life area and how long it stays in the period. Best and care days use the Moon's sign at local sunrise.

Classical sources

Phaladeepika (Mantreswara) ch. 26, Gochara phala: results of the grahas transiting the houses counted from the natal Moon sign, with Vedha (obstruction)
Brihat Samhita (Varahamihira) ch. 104, Graha-gochara: the same favourable houses
Vedha pairs as tabulated from Phaladeepika ch. 26 in B. V. Raman, "Hindu Predictive Astrology"; no Vedha between the Sun and Saturn or the Moon and Mercury
Muhurta Chintamani, Chandra-bala: the Moon in houses 1, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11 from the Moon sign is favourable; the 8th (Chandrashtama) is avoided for new undertakings
Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra ch. 32 and Phaladeepika ch. 2: significations (karakatva) of the grahas; BPHS ch. 11–23: significations of the houses
Sade Sati (Saturn in the 12th, 1st and 2nd from the Moon sign) and Dhaiya / Kantaka Shani (4th and 8th): widely followed later tradition
Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra ch. 3: colours of the grahas; weekday by its lord (vara)
Lucky number: popular numerological (anka) convention, not a classical Jyotish rule
Graha-shanti tradition: Yajnavalkya Smriti, Acharadhyaya (Graha-shanti prakarana) and the remedial chapters of BPHS; nama-mantras and weekday / deity associations as commonly practised
