Calculated Moon-sign reading

Gains, honour and good health; take care over delays and fatigue

OverallD Udyog scoring model (v1.0)

On Tuesday, 6 Oct, the Moon is in Karka — your 9th house counted from Vrishchika — until 22:18, then it moves into Simha (your 10th house). Traditionally this points first to delays and fatigue, and later to success in work and recognition. Jupiter in your 9th house brings good fortune, dharma and support from elders — traditionally favourable, but Ketu in the Vedha house holds the result back, while Saturn (retrograde) in your 5th house brings worry over children and slow plans. On balance this day asks for patience; the calmer you move, the smoother it goes.

Written automatically from the calculated planetary positions of this period and the classical transit rules — the same inputs always give the same reading.

How this was worked out

Areas of life

Ratings run from 1 (needs care) to 5 (very supportive), from the traditional transit results for each area of life.

പൊതുവായത്

Overall, Jupiter in your 9th house supports you, though Vedha from Ketu delays it — traditionally, good fortune, dharma and support from elders. And today's Moon in your 9th house until 22:18 calls for patience — traditionally, delays and fatigue. Keep commitments modest, avoid confrontations and give important decisions a second look.

Weighted average = sum of contributions -10.467 ÷ sum of weights 16.167 = -0.647. Rating = round(3 + 2.8 × (-0.647 − (-0.25))) = round(1.887), kept between 1 and 5 = 2.
A contribution is line score × period weight × share of the period × karaka weight × (1 + house bonus); the baseline -0.25 is the average score of the classical table, so a period of ordinary transits rates about 3.

Lucky colour, number and day C

Traditional, fixed for your sign

Colour: deep red
Number: 9
Day: Tuesday

Traditional, fixed for Vrishchika: these come from the sign's lord and are the same every day, week, month and year — they do not depend on the transits of this period.

Traditional associations of Vrishchika's lord, Mars: its colour (BPHS ch. 3) and its weekday; the number follows popular numerology.

Remedy (upasana)

For the Moon in your 9th house (delays and fatigue), the most demanding transit of this day.

On Mondays offer water or milk at a Shiva temple, chant the mantra below and give yourself a few quiet minutes each day.

Mantra ॐ सोमाय नमः (Om Somāya Namaḥ)

Read: Chandra Beej Mantra

Graha-shanti tradition: Yajnavalkya Smriti, Acharadhyaya (Graha-shanti prakarana) and the remedial chapters of BPHS; nama-mantras and weekday / deity associations as commonly practised

How this reading is made

A traditional Moon-sign (Chandra rashi) reading for everyone whose Moon is in Vrishchika, not a reading of your personal birth chart. Houses are counted from Vrishchika (house 1) using sidereal positions (lahiri_drik_compat ayanamsa) calculated for the selected place; times are in Asia/Kolkata. Transit results follow Phaladeepika ch. 26 with Vedha; ratings weigh each graha by its significations, the houses of each life area and how long it stays in the period. Best and care days use the Moon's sign at local sunrise.

Classical sources

Phaladeepika (Mantreswara) ch. 26, Gochara phala: results of the grahas transiting the houses counted from the natal Moon sign, with Vedha (obstruction)
Brihat Samhita (Varahamihira) ch. 104, Graha-gochara: the same favourable houses
Vedha pairs as tabulated from Phaladeepika ch. 26 in B. V. Raman, "Hindu Predictive Astrology"; no Vedha between the Sun and Saturn or the Moon and Mercury
Muhurta Chintamani, Chandra-bala: the Moon in houses 1, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11 from the Moon sign is favourable; the 8th (Chandrashtama) is avoided for new undertakings
Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra ch. 32 and Phaladeepika ch. 2: significations (karakatva) of the grahas; BPHS ch. 11–23: significations of the houses
Sade Sati (Saturn in the 12th, 1st and 2nd from the Moon sign) and Dhaiya / Kantaka Shani (4th and 8th): widely followed later tradition
Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra ch. 3: colours of the grahas; weekday by its lord (vara)
Lucky number: popular numerological (anka) convention, not a classical Jyotish rule
Graha-shanti tradition: Yajnavalkya Smriti, Acharadhyaya (Graha-shanti prakarana) and the remedial chapters of BPHS; nama-mantras and weekday / deity associations as commonly practised
