Mundaka Upanishad 3.1.1

द्वा सुपर्णा सयुजा सखाया समानं वृक्षं परिषस्वजाते ।dvā suparṇā sayujā sakhāyā samānaṃ vṛkṣaṃ pariṣasvajāte |

तयोरन्यः पिप्पलं स्वाद्वत्त्यनश्नन्नन्यो अभिचाकशीति ॥tayoranyaḥ pippalaṃ svādvattyanaśnannanyo abhicākaśīti ||

Meaning

Two birds, close companions, sit on the same tree. One eats the sweet fruit; the other, not eating, simply watches.

दो पक्षी, साथ रहने वाले मित्र, एक ही वृक्ष पर बैठे हैं। उनमें से एक स्वादिष्ट फल खाता है और दूसरा बिना खाए केवल देखता रहता है।
