Shloka of the day

Shloka of the day Saturday, 12 September 2026

One Sanskrit verse a day from the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, the Vedas, subhashitas and well-known stotras, with transliteration and meaning. 132 verses in rotation.

Bhagavad Gita 4.24

brahmārpaṇaṃ brahma havirbrahmāgnau brahmaṇā hutam |

brahmaiva tena gantavyaṃ brahmakarmasamādhinā ||

Meaning

The offering is Brahman, the oblation is Brahman, poured by Brahman into the fire that is Brahman; one absorbed in Brahman in every act reaches Brahman.

The meaning is our own short paraphrase, not a word-for-word translation.
